History of Carron Phoenix
Carron Company, founded in 1759, was at one
time the greatest Iron Works in Europe.
The company was famed in the 19th century for cannons -
Nelson’s flagship, HMS Victory, was equipped with "Carronades" - and in the 20th
century for making Britain’s famous red telephone boxes and post boxes.
Always an innovator, the company manufactured top quality
household articles in cast iron and then in 1962 introduced stainless steel
kitchen sinks.
Today, through its extensive research, development and
design, Carron Phoenix is at the forefront of high quality, kitchen sink
production. Carron Phoenix is the largest producer of granite sinks in the world
and was the first company licensed to place the British Standard Kitemark on its
stainless steel sinks.
